Infrastructure construction and testing is now complete, with rolling stock operational testing currently in progress in readiness for the forthcoming launch of commercial operations. Neal provided an update of the challenges and achievements of the construction and testing phases. Ralph then focused in more depth on the 25kV electrification of the test track, including the novel rolling stock current Rail Charging Converter (RCC) developed by Siemens, which converts the domestic site11kV 3-phase supply into 25kV single phase.
