The rescheduled visit the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster will now take place on the 9th Sept 2026. All previously purchased tickets will be honoured. The visit will include a tour of the Carriage and Wagon works as well as the Traction Maintenance Depot with a look at the Vanguard Sustainable Transport Solutions – HydroShunter along the way. The Carriage and Wagon works has some fantastic old test equipment in it which is particularly interesting, as well as a machine shop, wood shop and paint shop. It is also where the steam locomotives are maintained. The Traction Maintenance Depot is where the likes of the Western Locomotive Association, Diesel Traction Group, the Class 08 group as well as Vanguard Sustainable Transport Solutions are based to work on mainly diesel locos.

The visit will take place on Wednesday 9th Sept. commencing at 09:15 hrs with an expected duration of four hours. A full itinerary will be provided closer to the visit date.
