The Annual Porterbrook Lecture was given this year by Colin Musisi (Development Engineer) and Sami Ghebacheon (Project Engineer) on how to keep passengers cool in the face of climate change.

Colin and Sami’s presentation discussed climate change and the likely challenges for UK Rolling Stock. They then looked at a couple of case studies and discussed several trials and modifications that are being considered to help improve rolling stock resilience to help with the changing climate and air quality.

The presentation included a review of Porterbrook’s new build tri-mode units and how they will be more resilient to climate change.
