The Society is delighted to announce that the winner of the Peter Parkin Memorial Lecture Competition 2023 is Angie Lamprea-Pineda from the University of Leeds, giving a presentation on the topic of Track Assessment by Periodic Approach.

All three shortlisted candidates produced excellent videos and answered all the questions posed by our audience, but it was Angie who was declared the winner by our panel of judges.

Angie won a replica trophy, a £100 cash prize and a seat at the DRES Annual Dinner. The pictures shows Angie receiving her prize for DRES President – Neil Foster.
